Claremont Hospital

Cleanliness and infection control

The Claremont Hospital follows rigorous infection control procedures, and as a result has had no known occurrences of MRSA. We routinely screen patients who could be carrying MRSA unknowingly prior to hospital admission and great emphasis is placed on infection control measures, including hand hygiene and cleaning throughout the hospital. We also include mandatory infection control training for all our staff.

We employ Clean Hospital Awardour own housekeepers, who are managed by the Support Services Manager.

In 2005, we received an award for hygiene from Yours Magazine's Clean Hospital Campaign, which recognised the hard work of the hospital's dedicated and motivated team of housekeeping staff.
