In addition to treating patients opting to self-finance their hospital treatment and those with medical insurance, the Claremont Hospital now treats a number of patients eligible to receive their treatment via the National Health Service. Who is eligible for NHS funded treatment at Claremont Hospital? If your NHS hospital cannot treat you within a prescribed length of time, you may be offered the choice of receiving your treatment at the Claremont Hospital. How would I be contacted? If you were found to be eligible to receive your treatment at Claremont Hospital you would be contacted by telephone or by letter, and given full instructions. Which consultant would treat me? In some cases it may be possible to be treated by the same consultant you were previously under in the NHS. If this is not possible, then you would be referred to another consultant with a comparable level of knowledge and experience. All consultants practicing at the Claremont Hospital hold or have held consultant positions in the NHS and all are registered on the appropriate specialist register with the GMC. What sort of facilities would be available upon admission? Patients would have either a single or shared bedroom, with en-suite bathroom or within easy access of shared bathroom facilities. A television is provided in every room, for which there is no charge. Newspapers and visitor meals can be ordered upon request, for which a separate charge is payable. Find out more about our facilities. How is Claremont Hospital assessed for quality? Claremont Hospital is inspected by the Healthcare Commission and accredited by the Healthcare Accreditation Programme. Find out more about our quality standards. Who should I do if I have any further questions? Please contact us and explain that your enquiry relates to an NHS admission. |
