The Claremont Hospital is a not-for-profit, private hospital with 41 beds. Located in beautiful landscaped gardens, our patients enjoy a peaceful stay and panoramic views over Sheffield 's skyline. Providing the very highest standards of modern medical care, we offer an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. We are supported by over 200 experienced consultants, who also work locally in the NHS. The Claremont is open to everyone, whether insured or not, since we offer competitively priced, fixed-cost surgery, together with an interest free, staged payment scheme. Some NHS patients may also be offered treatment at the Claremont Hospital , as part of government initiatives to reduce waiting times. Founded in 1953 by the Sisters of the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy, the Claremont Hospital is now owned and managed by the Hospital Management Trust, a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. The Hospital Management Trust is committed to maintaining the Claremont 's strong, caring ethos, and the influence of the Sisters can still be found in the chapel, which is a calm haven for thought and prayer.
