• Accreditation
  Registered with the Healthcare commission, Claremont Private Hospital has also gained independent endorsement by CASPE's Healthcare Accreditation Programme (HAP).
• Cleanliness and infection control
  We follow a rigorous Hospital cleanliness programme and closely adhere to an infection control programme. To date we have had no cases of MRSA and routinely screen patients before admission.
• Medical advisory committee
  the medical advisory committee overseas the application from consultants to join the committee and gives guidance and advice on clinical practice, the focus being on the care and safety of patients at the Claremont.
• Patient satisfaction survey
  All patients are asked whether they would like to complete a patient satisfaction survey which are collated and used to improve the services we provide our patients.

Your patient journey

• Your outpatient appointment
  The first step is to book an outpatient appointment with a consultant, Outpatients consultation may reccommend tests or treatments which can be arranged on the same day or may need a further outpatients appointment
• Your pre-admission assessment
  The aim of a pre-admission assessment is to ascertain from routine medical checks that you are physically fit and weel enough for surgery. The will be carried out by a pre-admission nurse as an outpatient, medical history
• Arriving for admission
  After attending your pre-admission appointment, you will be sent an appointment time and date, via a letter of confirmation. Upon Arrival check in with reception where you will be escorted to your room and seen by consultant and anaesthetist
• During your stay
  During your Hospital stay you will have access to room services such as telephone, internet access, visiting times are fairly open with exception for between 12 noon and 2 where we like patients to rest
• Your discharge from hospital
  Upon Discharge from hospital, you will be given any medication or aftercare advice which maybe required, you will also be advised about any further follow-up appointments required

Facilities

• Accommodation
  Patient Accommodation varies, We have Private Rooms or shared hospital rooms all of high standard. Our private patient care extends further than treatment, telephone, internet access available in all rooms
• Catering
  We offer as much variety as possible in our hospital meals, we cater for special diets and offer light options for those patients with a smaller apetite, our catering facilities use local produce wherever possible
• Operating theatres
  As well as our recovery suites Claremont has an HDU or High Dependency Unit. We have 3 fully functional operating Theatres and Endoscopy suite, catering for all surgery except Heart
• Pathology laboratory
  Having an on-site Pathology Laboratory means that test results are fast and efficient. Wide range of Diagnostic Pathology, including microbiology, haematology etc. Path Lab Located in Sheffield Claremont Hospital
• Physiotherapy
  We run a physiotherapy unit whichs provides physio for rehabilitation, Neurological conditions, MS for Example, and sports physio. We also have an Outreach service which caters for both elderly and children
• X-ray
  X-ray, MRI Scan, CT Scan, Mammography, Ultrasound, we have a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service at Claremont and are able to offer all of these examination services performed by one of our consultant radiologists

  We believe that private medical care should be available to as many people as possible with this is mind we have 3 methods of payment for Private Medical Treatment
• Self pay packages
  For patients who wish to fund their treatment themselves, a referral from a GP will be necessary. If you have no medical insurance a staged payment plan is available making payment easier. All surgery procedures have a fixed price
• Private medical insurance
  For patients wishing to claim on their private medical insurance should firstly check whether your policy is up to dat and will cover treatment
• NHS treatment
  NHS patients can also be treated at the Claremont Hospital, you will be notified if you are eligible for this service. For more details contact us
